Shawarma Bowls – Appetizer is a great party sized finger-food version of this delicious Middle Eastern Wrap. I do love good shawarma any day! It is hands down one of my favorite foods. And I have many versions of making it.
For a party, however, rolling up many shawarmas and serving them can be a challenge. However, by serving them in this lovely edible freshly cooked bowls or cups, it means less effort in the assembly, while feeding a crowd. Just fill the fried bowls, with the filling and add some sauce. Voila!
You can prepare the filling and the sauce ahead of time. The crisp bowls must be made fresh. My kids are always asking me to make my signature shawarma, it’s a huge hit every time I make it. So here, we make a crisp fresh puffed bowl out of the pita dough and fill it with an amazingly simple but yummy chicken filling and instant sauce. Please do let me know if you try the recipe.
