Watermelon Milk
Watermelon is the most thirst-quenching of fruits. During the summer months and fasting month, we tend to always stock up on watermelon. Another way to serve it is a refreshing drink is by making this refreshing drink adding milk.
We won’t call it watermelon milkshake, because, there’s no ice cream involved. Just Milk, Watermelon and sugar if needed! If you’ve never tried it please do.. Quite refreshing.
Ingredients:
Watermelon (seedless watermelon) | 1 1/4 kg | |
COLD Milk | 4 Cups | |
Sugar (to taste - only if required) | As needed |
Method:
- Chop the watermelon up roughly into chunks and place it in the freezer till the pieces are frozen.
- Add in batches with sufficient milk to a blender. Blend till you get a nice thick slushie.
- Add to a pitcher, and pour the remaining milk, to get a nice smooth drink. (Not too dilute).
- Serve cold! Garnish if desired.
Notes:
- Diced watermelon or basil seeds may be added to compliment this drink with some texture. I like it plain.
