Tabil (Tunisian Spice Mix) – تابل
®This is a RAS signature Recipe©
Tabil is a versatile spice! ‘Tabil’ translates to coriander in Tunisian Arabic and is predominantly scented with coriander, hot chilli, and garlic flavor. This Tunisian blend is used in a lot of North African cooking. Often in Tagines and stews. It can also be used as a bbq rub. Sprinkle in wraps or over soups and dips. It provides a subtle, earthy, and warm touch to any dish.

Notes:
- You can add up to 1/2 Tbsp of garlic powder or dried garlic flakes, to this recipe. I use less since I add fresh garlic to most of the recipes that use ‘Tabil’ . Bay leaves and Dried rose petals are also sometimes used.
- Tabil is pronounced like Table with an accent on the t and ‘il.
