Quick Creamy Mushroom Spaghetti

A creamy, delicious, and rich Spaghetti recipe. Shimeji Mushrooms and Garlic lend umami and flavor to the cream-based spaghetti.

Quick Creamy Mushroom Spaghetti

Ingredients:

Spaghetti 500 gms
Butter, softened 3 Tbsp
Garlic, minced 2 Tbsp
Onion,sliced 1
Brown Shimeji mushrooms, gently rinsed and drained 150 gms
Pouring/ cooking cream 300 ml
Seasoning - Knorr concentrated seasoning (SavorRich) or just salt and pepper To taste

Method:

Creamy Mushroom Spaghetti

  1. Bring a large pot of water to boil. Add 2 tsp salt. Add the spaghetti and cook for 9-11 minutes till cooked. Stir a few times in between. Drain the pasta. Reserve some of the pasta cooking water.
  2. Heat the butter in a large skillet and add the finely minced garlic. When fragrant, add the onions and stir till softened.
  3. Now add the Shimeji mushroom. Stir fry for just under 2 minutes.
  4. Pour in the cream and stir briskly. Season as desired. I like to add a spoon or two of Knorr seasoning to taste as well as black pepper (coarse grain). You can just add salt and pepper if you prefer.
  5. Add some of the pasta water to loosen and quickly toss in the spaghetti, till coated well. Serve on its own or with Black Pepper Beef.  (Both recipes shown in the easy meal prep video)
