Moroccan Style Baked Salmon

A quick and easy Baked Salmon with delicious and spicy Moroccan flare!

See how to make home made : Ras el Hanout  , Dried Chilli Paste .

Ingredients:

Salmon fillet 300 gms
chilli paste ( check out link to video above) 2 tsp
garlic paste / finely minced garlic ½ tsp
Ras el Hanout spice mix ( see link to recipe above) ¼ tsp
mixed dried herbs ( equal quantities chives, parsley, coriander and  fenugreek ) 1 tsp
extra virgin olive oil 1 tsp
lime juice 1 tsp




Method:

 

  1. Preheat oven to 200ºc / 395ºF .
  2. Pat dry salmon fillet. Rub well with the red chilli paste, garlic paste, lime juice and salt to taste.
  3. Place in baking dish lined with parchment paper( for easy cleanup), lightly greased with olive oil .
  4. Sprinkle the Ras el Hanout and dried mixed herbs over the top. Press gently into the salmon.
  5. Drizzle olive oil over top.
  6. Bake for 20-30 min, till desired doneness.

 

Moroccan Style Baked Salmon

Notes:

  • If you do not have all the dried herbs, you can use just dried fenugreek leaves. It is a good option.

Key Ingredients: Salmon, Chilli Paste, Spices, Dried Herbs, Garlic, Salt, Olive oil.
