Fresh Aloe Vera Summer Salad

Description

An aloe vera salad is a refreshing and unusual dish that incorporates the gel from the aloe vera plant. It's often a light and healthy option, particularly popular in regions where aloe vera is readily available. Here we add fresh fruits in a highly refreshing combination

  1. Cut the ridge off of the aloe vera leaf and cut into sections.
  2. Soak in water for 5-10 minutes.
  3. Peel away the all the skin with care, as it can be bitter.
  4. Continue to dice the gel-like flesh.
  5. Toss everything together well and serve chilled.
  6. Allow the Fresh Aloe Vera Summer Salad to sit for a few minutes for the flavors to combine. However, make sure you serve quickly: the aloe vera releases liquid if left for some time, and the salad will get runny.

Note

  • All the fruits I used had good sweetness to them .. If not sweet enough , I recommend a sprinkling of sugar or you could use agave nectar .
  • You cold use Chia seeds in place of Basil seeds.
  • Other fruits that wold compliment this salad – Pomegranate, Sweet Kiwi, Guava.
  • Key Ingredients: Aloe Vera, Strawberries, Apple, Orange, Rose Water, Basil Seeds, Blue Berries, Mint Leaves.
