Chilli Sauce for Chicken Rice
A spicy sauce that can be served as a side to rice and savoury dishes. This Chilli Sauce is so simple to prepare. (No cooking involved).
It goes well with and is always served with chicken rice.

Ingredients:
Small red hot chilli padi( Thai chilly pepper) | 3-4 | |
Garlic | 5 cloves | |
Ginger | 1 Inch piece | |
Lime juice (green Calamansi lime) | 3 Tbsp | |
Real chicken stock OR 4 Tbsp(water mixed with a little Light Soy Sauce) | 4 Tbsp | |
Sugar | ½ tsp | |
Salt | To taste |
Method:
- Put all ingredients into small mixer/blender and blend to a slightly grainy but not chunky chilly sauce!

Notes:
- This sauce is great served with plain white rice too along with scrambled eggs or with egg rolls/ spring rolls.
