Baked Dijon Salmon Recipe
My go-to baked Salmon recipe, flavourful and succulent.
This recipe is for 4 steaks of Salmon, but you can easily adjust the recipe, for any amount.
Just remember, it’s a thin layer of each ingredient for each steak of salmon. Really easy to remember!
Ingredients:
salmon (about 6 oz/200 g each) | 4 steaks of | |
Dijon mustard | ¹⁄3 cup | |
Garlic, minced OR 2 tsp garlic powder | 4 large cloves | |
Red onion / shallots , minced very finely | 1/2 cup | |
Dried Tarragon or Cilantro (Coriander) | 1 ¼ tsp dried herbs | |
Freshly cracked - COURSE black pepper | 1 tsp | |
salt ( about 1 tsp ) | To taste, | |
Olive oil, to drizzle over the top | As needed: |
Method:
- Preheat oven to 200°c/395 F.
- Lightly brush a baking dish with oil or line with parchment paper.
- Arrange the salmon, skin side down.
- Rub the Dijon Mustard onto the salmon pieces, to coat completely. (Thin Layer).
- Scatter the garlic, onion, tarragon/cilantro, salt, and pepper over the salmon surface to evenly distribute. Press down gently on ingredients.
- Drizzle with olive oil over the top.
- Bake 20-35 Minutes to the desired doneness.
- It’s so delicious!

Notes:
- You can serve this baked salmon either plain or with any dressing of choices like a watercress and parsley dressing.
