Avocado Toast

Description

Avocado toast is essentially an open-faced sandwich consisting of toasted bread topped with mashed or sliced avocado.

It's a very popular dish, especially for breakfast, brunch, or a light snack, known for its healthy fats and versatility.

  1. Cut open the avocado, remove the seed, and scoop out the flesh.
  2. Toast your bread.
  3. Mash the avocado (either separately or directly onto the toast). Half an avocado per slice of bread.
  4. Add lime juice ( a few drops) if desired.
  5. Crumble the cheese into small chunks and spread it over the avocado.
  6. Sprinkle sunflower seeds over the top and add the chilli flakes.
  7. Take a bite.. enjoy it slowly. It is so good!!!

Note

  • If you like feta cheese, you can crumble a little Feta instead of the Kiri Kiri.
  • Kiri Kiri is an individual foil-wrapped square of processed cream cheese. The Herb and garlic-flavoured ones are delicious in this recipe. You can use any cream cheese with this flavour. Just use a fork to break it up into small chunks. Do not spread.
  • Pumpkin Seeds can be used instead of Sunflower seeds, although I recommend the latter.
  • Key Ingredients: Avocado, Wholemeal Bread, Cheese, Seeds, Chilli Flakes, Lime.
Keywords: avocado toast
