Potato Gnocchi (Italian Potato Dumplings)
Potato Gnocchi are traditional Italian dumplings or dumpling-style pasta made with potatoes and flour. There are versions that with fillings like cheese or pesto, but we are taking a look at the classic simple potato gnocchi today. Although this is very easy to make, it can take some time, so plan. Preparation can take well over an hour.
Similar to pasta, gnocchi is served with cheese and sauce. Like spaghetti, gnocchi is the plural word. The singular “Gnocco” is rarely used in English. Make sure you have a full appetite before eating a plate of gnocchi because it is very filling.
