Middle Eastern Garlic Sauce – Toom : Hard to kick the addiction. Growing up in the Middle East, we always loved our toom. Do you know that it comes with fried chicken, or rottiserie chicken there. It makes anything taste better and yummier! Many people in the Gulf refer to it as garlic paste – but it’s not to be confused with raw garlic paste used for cooking! True, you will need to go double on the mouthwash after a meal with this, but to heck with it. I don’t care and I know SO MANY of you will agree. So originally, when they make toom, egg white is not added. However, this process takes practice and is really hard to expalin. Sometimes you need to do it over till you get it right. However, with the addition of egg white, it’s quite simple to make at home, if you have a strong blender. You can use your food processor, but woul need to make it with a really large amount of garlic, in that case. I am sharing this video for Garlic Sauce – Toom. Enjoy it with Shawarma, with Fried chicken, As a dip with Pita Bread. Dunk your fries in them! Make easy garlic bread with it. The options are endless. I mostly make it for shawarma or when I make Albaik Fried Chicken.
