Kebab fi Har – Flame grilled Potato Kebabs

Kebab fi Har is a vegetarian snack recipe in my ‘fi Har’ Series of recipes. All Arabian fusion recipes, that incorporate authentic homemade Kabsa Spice Mix. Now you can make more with Kabsa Spice mix than Kabsa Rice!!

These vegetarian Kebabs, are simple to make, melt in the mouth and delicious-smoky Potato Kebabs. Everyone loves them!! Serve with Garlic Sauce.

How to make Kebab fi Har – Flame grilled Potato Kebabs- Recipe at a glance:

  • Boil Potatoes in the skin.
  • Prepare the easy Potato Mash with garlic and Kabsa Spice mix. Strain away all excess oil.
  • Dip in egg wash and shallow fry.
  • Smoke the kebabs on a simple stovetop grill or substitute for that flame-grilled, smoky, irresistible taste.
  • Kabsa Spice Mix is needed for this recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 5 large USA Potatoes or similar (about 3/4kg)
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp garlic, finely minced
  • 1 Tbsp Kabsa spice mix
  • 1 chicken bouillon/ stock cube (knorr)
  • 1/2 Tbsp Chilli powder
  • 1/4 Tbsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 cup Green Capsicum/ bell pepper, diced
  • 1/4 cup Fresh coriander, chopped
  • 1/2 cup Grates Mozarella
  • Egg wash made by beating together 1 egg with 2 Tbsp water
  • Minimal sunflower oil as needed

Notes:

  • Use less oil in the frying stage, and if you have added too much leave the fried potato mash in a strainer for a while to remove excess before shaping the kebabs.
  • Kabsa Spice Mix is used in this recipe.
