Do you want to know how to make a ‘Cut-open’ Sandwich?  That’s a paper-wrapped Deli-style Sandwich, which is cut through the center prior to serving. It can be cutely packed into lunch boxes for easy eating, and makes any sandwich so much prettier!

I am also sharing the recipe for a Japanese-style Egg Salad sandwich with Ham. It’s Soooo Yummy…. But you can use the wrapping method for any single or double-decker sandwich, but the double-decker sandwich will look prettier when cut through.

Japanese-style Egg Salad sandwich with Ham. Ingredients: (for 3 double-decker sandwiches)

    • 5 Boiled eggs, on the softer side
    • 9 slices of Soft Japanese WHITE Bread (Shokupan or Hokkaido Milk Bread)
    • About 5-6 Tbsp, in total Japanese Mayonnaise, as needed (see notes)
    • 2-3 Tbsp chopped fresh Parsley
    • White pepper powder, to taste
    • 3 Slices,  soft Natural Cheese (see notes)
    • 6 Slices Ready to eat Sandwich Ham (see notes)
    • 9 large pieces of torn  Iceberg lettuce leaves
    • 1 Tomato, sliced (2 slices per sandwich)
