Gobi Manchurian (with Gravy)
Indo-Chinese Gobi Manchurian is a staple vegetarian side dish. Cauliflower florets are batter-fried and then added to a delicious sauce. I have earlier shared the Red Gobi Manchurian which is cooked in a tomato-based sauce instead.

Ingredients:
- 2 medium cauliflower (or one extra large one) – about 1 1/4 kg
- 4 Tbsp Soya sauce
- 1/2 tsp Black pepper powder
- 2 generous tsp garlic minced/crushed
- 1 generous tsp ginger minced/crushed
- 1 cup Plain flour
- 1/2 cup Corn flour
- 1 medium red onion, very finely chopped
- 2 pinches of Baking powder
- Neutral Oil for frying and for the gravy – as needed
For the Gravy:
- 2 medium Red onions, chopped into square pieces
- 1 generous tsp Garlic, minced
- 1 generous tsp Ginger, minced
- 1 Tbsp Green chilli, sliced
- Half of one small Green capsicum (optional), cut into squares similar to onion
- 1 Knorr Vegetable stock cube
- 3 1/2 – 4 Tbsp Green chilli sauce
- 3 1/2 – 4 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1 1/2 – 2 Tbsp Tomato ketchup
- 2 Tbsp cornflour mixed in 1/4 cup water to make a slurry
- 2 Tbsp fresh Coriander leaves, chopped
- 2 Tbsp Spring Onion greens, chopped
