Egg Puttu (Mutta Puttu)
Egg Puttu is a quick and handy breakfast recipe. You can use leftover Puttu, from the previous day to make it or make fresh Puttu for this recipe. You can also use any leftover curry gravy in this recipe (Egg curry, Meat Curry, Chicken Curry) Or simply follow the recipe to make it fresh. You will be pleasantly surprised at how easy the Puttu, is transformed into a tasty-quick-hot breakfast!
I am also including the video below on making Puttu using Steamed Puttu flour if you have not used it before. My family lives the texture of this type of Puttu and it tastes like the olden daysPuttu made from ground rice, as opposed to the rice flourPuttu that is most common.

How to make Egg Puttu (Mutta Puttu) – Recipe at a glance:
- Use day-old Puttu or prepare 3 cups of fresh Puttu.
- Use leftover curry gravy or follow my recipe to make it fresh.
- Saute onion, ginger, tomato, chillies with spice mixture.
- Scramble eggs and add crumbled Puttu. Toss to an Upma texture.

Ingredients:
- Prepared Puttu (about 3 cups or 3 Chiratta Puttu)
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 3-4 Tbsp Coconut Oil
- 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
- 2 Dried red chillies , broken
- 2 medium-sized Red onions, chopped finely
- 2 tsp Ginger, finely chopped
- 2 green chillies, chopped or to taste
- 1 sprig Curry leaves
- 1-2 tsp Kerala Garam Masala
- 1-2 tsp Meat Masala powder
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp Coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp Fennel powder
- 2 chopped tomatoes
- Salt to taste
- 3 Tbsp fresh coriander leaves, chopped
