Super Quick and Easy Singapore Fried Rice
This Super quick and easy Singapore Fried Rice is different from the Chinese take-out dish which is popular in the West. The fact is that the Western Singapore fried rice is a dish made popular in the West, and is not really a Singaporean dish at all! It has added spices like curry powder and chilli paste combined with Russian sauce(a combination of mayo, ketchup, sour cream, and prepared horseradish). The rice is tangy and sweet and piquant all at the same time. Real Singapore fried rice is much more basic, it is a much simpler version of the Yang Chow fried rice that originates from the Yangzhou province of China.
It is so simple and easy to prepare. Here we are making Singapore Chicken fried rice.

How to make Super Quick and Easy Singapore Fried Rice – Recipe at a glance:
- Cook rice and cool it.
- Wok fry marinated chicken strips along with onion garlic and sauce.
- Set aside and scramble egg. Add rice and stir fry till hot,
- Add in vegetables and return the cooked chicken also.
- Season and garnish.

Ingredients:
- 2 cups cooked Jasmine Rice
- 200-300 gms Boneless Chicken breast or thigh, cut into bite-size cubes/strips
- 5 Tbsp Peanut oil, divided
- Half of a Vidalia Onion, sliced
- 1 tsp Garlic, minced
- 2 tsp Chilli Bean Sauce
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 – 3/4 cup Frozen, Mixed Vegetable s(Peas, Carrot, Corn, Beans)
- 1/2 tsp White Pepper powder
- 1-2 Spring onion shoots, chopped
- Salt and Pepper as needed
To Marinate the Chicken:
- 1 tsp Light Soy Sauce
- 1/2 tsp Asian Sesame Oil
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
- 1 Tbsp Cornstarch
