However, this Easy Malabar Mutton Biryani, will win you over for its simplicity! Still a wonderful, yummy, homely Biryani. Make this when you get the freshest Mutton.

How to make Easy Malabar Mutton Biryani – Recipe at a glance:
- Soak rice and drain.
- Rince mutton and drain.
- Prep/chop ingredients.
- Prepare mutton masala in a pressure cooker.
- Prepare rice in a separate pot.
- Dum together in a larger pot (sealed- steam cooking method).
- Serve.

Ingredients:
- 1 kg Mutton, medium-sized pieces with some bone
- 5 medium red onions
- 8 cloves garlic
- 1 thumb size ginger
- 8-10 green chilies
- 1 tomato
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp black pepper powder
- 1 tsp Nadan garam masala
- 2 Tbsp thick yogurt
- Mint and Coriander, a handful each
- 1/2 cup sunflower oil
- 1/2 tsp Fennel seeds
- Oil, Ghee,
- Salt (1-1 1/2 tsp)
For Rice
- 4 cups Kaima Rice
- 8 1/2 cups water
- 6 cardamom
- 6 cloves
- 2 pinches mace
- 2 sticks cinnamon
- 3 1/2 tsp salt
- 4 Tbsp Ghee (RKG)
- 1 Tbsp lime juice
- 1 1/2 cups dough, made by mixing plain wheat flour and water into a firm dough
