Easy Chocolate Cake with Frosting

Chocolate cake in a hurry. No fuss recipe. We love this Easy Chocolate Cake with Frosting.

Easy Chocolate Cake with Frosting

Ingredients:

For Cake:

• 1  ½ cups flour
• 1 cups sugar
• 1 tsp baking soda
• ½ tsp salt
• 2 oz unsweetened chocolate melted in 2 Tbsp butter
• 1 cup butter milk
• ½ cup oil
• 1 egg
• 1 tsp vanilla extract

For Frosting:

• 1/2 cup sugar
• 4 1/2 tsp cornstarch
• 1/8 tsp salt
• 1 ounce unsweetened chocolate
• 1/2 cup hot coffee or water
• 1/2 tsp vanilla
• 1 Tbsp butter

Method:

• Combine flour sugar soda and salt in one bowl.
• In another bowl, combine buttermilk  oil and egg.
• Add flour mix and chocolate mix to this.
• Beat well to combine.
• Pour into pan and bake till toothpick inserted comes out clean.
• While cake is baking, prepare frosting:

Frosting:

• Mix all and heat on low flame.
• Stir till thick and spreadable. Frost cooled cake.
