Date and Mango Pickle – I let out my mom’s secret recipe.. Hope you will all love it as much as everyone in my family. If you love hot and sweet pickles, this one is unique and quite special. Anyone who tries it always asks for the recipe and everyone wants to know what’s in it. Of course, my mom shares her recipes with everyone.. but they always say hers is the best. So I caught it all on tape. Now there’s no going wrong! This pickle is great with Rice, Biryani, Sadhya.. anything. My husband absolutely loves it and whenever my mom visits, she makes it especially for him. Recipe at a Glance:
- Chop Green mango and leave in salt for 8 hours/ overnight.
- Lightly cook the salted, drained mango in sugar and oil.
- Dry roast some special spices and powder it.
- Cook the mango further in syrup and add other ingredients.
- Prepare the pickling mix with oil, spice, and vinegar. Add the prepared mango and dates to it.
- Cool and store in sterile glass jars.
