- Ginger paste – 10 gms / 2 tsp
- Garlic paste – 10 gms / 2 tsp
- Chili powder – 10 gms /2 tsp
- Hung Yoghurt – 1 cup yoghurt — see notes
- Lime juice – 15 ml /1 Tbsp
- Turmeric powder 1.25 grams / ¼ tsp
- Cumin -¹⁄8 tsp
- Salt – To taste
- Garam Masala – 2.5 gms / ½ tsp
- Butter – 15 gms / 2 Tbsp
- Carom seeds (tymol / ajwain seeds) – 2.5 gms / ½ tsp
- Chick pea flour (besan) -30 gms / 2 Tbsp
- Mustard oil – 22.5 ml / 1½
